Private tuition can be a great way to experience the benefits of Yoga and Pilates for those who are unable to join a regular class or to run alongside a regular weekly class to enable a deeper, more frequent practice remaining under the guidance of a qualified teacher. They can also serve as an introduction to Yoga or Pilates and be used as a course of rehabilitation from illness, surgery or injury. Right now you know you need to commence gentle movement and you’ve heard that yoga or Pilates can help but you don’t feel ready for a group class at this stage. My private yoga tuition and private Pilates tuition are the prefect first step to a better you.

    Individually tailored 60-70 minute package of 4 sessions in Yoga, Pilates, Chair Yoga, or Yoga for Improved Sleep including recordings for continued home practice.

    • Packages to be completed within 3 calendar months of initial session

    Please book your first session only, the follow-up sessions can then be arranged at suitable intervals according to your needs.

  • Individual tuition is suitable for anyone seeking a tailored approach to their yoga or Pilates practice.

    According to your needs your programme may consist of your choice of:

    • Yoga

    • Pilates

    • Yoga/Pilates hybrid

    • Chair yoga

    • A “newbies” session on any of the above

    • Yoga for improved sleep

  • Just 60 to 70 minutes per session plus home practice time at your leisure.

  • A 60 to 70 minute yoga/Pilates session specifically tailored for you from the list above.

    An assessment of your goals and needs.

    An opportunity to have your questions answered.

    A recording to continue your practice in your own time.

  • No.

  • £67 for one session or £217 for a sequence of 4 sessions.

  • You will receive an initial welcome email followed by a detailed welcome email, health questionnaire and other useful information specific to your chosen topic.

  • Please ensure that Zoom is downloaded to your chosen device prior to your session(s).

    Please be prepared to position your camera so I can observe your movements.

    Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

    Please have any questionnaires to hand at your session.

  • Classes and workshops are approximately 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes long as specified under booking.

    Classes and workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable.

    Classes and workshops must be paid for in full and in advance of the course.

    On or after the start date, no refund can be given for your cancellation or non-attendance.

    Class bookings are valid for the duration of the course for which they were registered.

    There is no transferral of classes from term to term, course to course or person to person.

    Classes may be cancelled due to circumstances out of your instructor’s control eg extreme weather conditions, sickness, but refunds will not be given.

    All sessions in a series of private sessions must be concluded within 6 months of the first session.

    All sessions included in a class pass must be concluded within 8 weeks of the first session.

The Process

HOW BOOKING WORKS

Choose a Session

You'll view the  schedule and select your desired session and start date.

Book & Pay

You'll then complete the form and pay for your session or session package.

Pre-session Prep

We’ll go through pre-session info and checks in preparation for your first session.

 3.

  • After you have booked your time with me to improve your wellness through yoga, Pilates, chair yoga or yoga for improved sleep, we will meet online at the agreed time for between 60 and 70 minutes depending on the time needed (no additional charge). You will already have received a health questionnaire by email and we will clarify anything you have raised and assess your goals going forward. I will facilitate your session in a safe, person-centred and trauma-informed way talking you through (with physical demonstration where needed) your practice. The session will include tips for home practice, time for you to ask questions and may conclude with a guided relaxation where appropriate. Shortly after your session, you will receive a recording of the session to assist with your continued home practice and alignment with your goals. The recording will remain available for one month.

HI I’M GRAINNE

I turned to Yoga and Pilates at the end of the 1990’s to de-stress, relax and experience safe, gentle movement (whilst working in a stressful professional environment myself), I was inspired to re-train as a Yoga and Pilates teacher to help others in a similar way. You are in safe hands with me. My main trainings are with the British Wheel of Yoga (500 hour Level 4 diploma) and Stott Pilates (matwork). I have undertaken additional certification in: Chair Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Ayurveda for yoga teachers, Sleep Recovery, Meditation, Menopause yoga, Pilates for Injuries and Special Populations, Pelvic floor health.

I draw on my extensive training to create effective, safe, varied and interesting one to one sessions to improve your movement, wellness and life according to your individual needs.
